What the public source says
Putnam City Schools' October 8 announcement says student IDs become a required part of the school day districtwide beginning October 20. The district provides the first ID, holder and lanyard at no charge.
The notice explains age-specific handling, including teacher-held pre-K IDs. It says students will not be denied meals, transportation or needed services because an ID is missing, describes temporary stickers and lists a $3 replacement charge for a lost or damaged ID. Families should consult the district's full guidance and their school for individual questions.
Why it matters
TREW analysis: School-service changes are part of everyday neighborhood information. For families moving within the metro, district requirements should be checked against the actual school assignment rather than assumed from a city mailing address.
Status and limits
This is a districtwide announcement, relevant to Warr Acres but not limited to its municipal boundary. TREW has not independently confirmed implementation at every school or a family's attendance boundary.
